Why this app was created
I had wanted to create a real app for quite some time – not just as a technical experiment, but as a small, useful project that can actually be used in everyday life.
Sudoku was an obvious choice. I play Sudoku myself from time to time and noticed how disruptive the usual advertising interruptions can be, and how resource-hungry some available apps are. Most of the time, you simply want to solve a puzzle – without being pulled out of the flow again and again.
Another reason was my mother. She plays Sudoku the classic way on paper. But when several entries need to be changed, it quickly becomes messy. She has a smartphone but does not use mobile internet, so the app was deliberately designed to work without an internet connection – and also on older devices with lower screen resolution.
The result is a simple Sudoku app focused on the essentials: choose a puzzle, play, correct entries and solve it calmly – without ads, without an account and without being forced online.
A look inside the app
The interface is intentionally simple: choose a Sudoku, play, correct entries and solve it without distractions.
Privacy and usage
The app does not require a user account, registration or cloud connection. The game works without an internet connection.
Optionally, players can buy me a drink as a small thank-you for the game.
A voluntary support link is included for this purpose. Using it has no effect on the functionality of the game. No additional game features are unlocked and no advantages are granted.
Testers wanted for the Google Play Store
To prepare the app for publication in the Google Play Store, I still need additional testers. If you would like to support me, please send me an email at: sudoku@diy-technik.de
Availability
The app is currently being prepared for the Google Play Store. Until then, selected APK versions are available here for direct local testing.
Note: Installation takes place outside the Google Play Store. Depending on the Android version, installation from unknown sources must be allowed for the browser or file manager used.
Downloads are counted anonymously. Only the number of downloads and – if provided by the server – the country of origin are stored.
